Festival highlights at the Gulgong Holtermann Museum
Celebrating 150 years of rich photographic history
Saturday 11th June 2022
- Heritage Photographs by Alan Walker – a range of costumes available. Photos taken with Holtermann backdrops. Cost per photograph – $10 for museum visitors & $15 for photographs only.
- Gulgong Music and Dramatic Society members will be in costume to interact with visitors.
- Live Music performance by Bob Campbell and Jake Fahy in the courtyard between 1-2pm.
- Holtermann Under Lights – a very different museum experience – Museum open until 8pm.
- Two new permanent displays unveiled for display
- The Gondolf Bible; and
- A selection of papers from the Burke/Rumsey Collection
NEW EXHIBITION
- Gulgong Then & Now 1872-2022 Exhibition open to public from 11th June to run to 30 September 2022 featuring:
- The 1872/2022 Christopher Dingle Transition Photographs, a selection of Gulgong Holtermann Collection photographs partly colourised to create the perfect 1872/2022 transition ; and
- A selection of glass and Tintype plates by Wet Plate Photographer, Adrian Cook, a modern interpretation of Henry Beaufoy Merlin’s work.
